SAN FRANCISCO (Standard&Poor's) May 3, 2013--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said that it assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to Maricopa County Community College District (CCD), Ariz.'s 2013 general obligation (GO) bonds. At the same time, Standard&Poor's affirmed its 'AAA' rating on the district's parity GO debt outstanding. The outlook on both ratings is stable. "The ratings reflect what we view as a low overall net debt burden and very rapid amortization," said Standard&Poor's credit analyst Kate Parmer, "as well as its deep and diverse economic base encompassing the Phoenix metropolitan area."
