About This Report

Abstract:

Unicredit's capital position has come under increased market scrutiny over the past six months. However, we believe that high diversification, combined with improving domestic asset quality and better earnings prospects, will continue to support Unicredit's credit profile over the next couple of years. We are affirming our 'BBB-/A-3' long- and short-term ratings on Unicredit. The stable outlook mirrors that on our long-term sovereign credit rating on Italy. MADRID (S&P Global Ratings) May 25, 2016--S&P Global Ratings said today that it affirmed its 'BBB-/A-3' long- and short-term counterparty credit ratings on Italy-based UniCredit SpA (Unicredit). The outlook remains stable. The affirmation reflects our belief that Unicredit's wide business and geographic diversification, its improving asset quality, and better earnings prospects should continue
