OVERVIEW In our view, the Italian City of Milan continues to show exceptional liquidity and we expect Milan to successfully withstand the impact of a new round of cuts to central government transfers to the cities. Milan benefits from a powerful economy with strong tax bases; and we assess the city's financial management as strong. We are affirming our 'BBB-' long-term rating on Milan. The stable outlook mirrors that on Italy. RATING ACTION On Dec. 19, 2014, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'BBB-' long-term issuer credit rating on the Italian City of Milan. The outlook is stable. RATIONALE The rating on Milan primarily reflects our long-term rating on the Republic of Italy (unsolicited; BBB-/Stable/A-3). We cap our rating
