NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's CreditWire) October 11, 1999--Standard&Poor's today assigned its 'A-1' commercial paper rating to International Flavors&Fragrances Inc.'s 4(2) commercial paper program. An 'A-1' short-term corporate credit rating also was assigned to the company. Concurrently, a single-'A' long-term corporate credit rating was assigned. The outlook is stable. The ratings for International Flavors&Fragrances (IFF) reflect the company's position as a leading creator and manufacturer of flavors and fragrances used in a wide variety of consumer products, as well as its very strong financial profile.
