...CHICAGO (S&P Global Ratings) July 14, 2017--S&P Global Ratings assigned its '##' long-term rating to the Illinois Regional Transportation Authority's (RTA) series 2017A general obligation (GO) refunding bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our '##' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the authority's previously issued long-term GO debt and series 2016C GO working cash notes. We also affirmed our 'A-1+' short-term rating on the authority's series 2005B extendible reset securities. "The stable outlook on the long-term ratings reflect our view that the authority will maintain sufficient liquidity to cover its obligations despite the challenging revenue climate," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst John Kenward.
