...NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) March 8, 2016--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A-' issuer credit rating (ICR) to Huron Regional Medical Center (Huron). At the same time we affirmed our 'A-' long-term rating on South Dakota Health and Educational Facilities Authority's series 1994 bonds, issued for Huron. The outlook is stable. "We assessed the enterprise profile as adequate reflecting Huron's limited service area population, rural economy, and small medical staff, even as we also recognize that the executive team has done a very solid job of managing the facility within these constraints," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Cynthia Keller. "We assessed the financial profile as very strong highlighted by significant unrestricted reserves, limited debt, stable cash flow, ample debt service coverage, and benefits from cost based Medicare reimbursement.
