Standard&Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'AA-' long-term rating to East Carolina University, N.C.'s series 2014A general revenue bonds issued for (ECU). At the same time, Standard&Poor's affirmed its 'AA-' long-term rating on the various other debt issued for ECU. We also affirmed the 'aa-' stand-alone credit profile (SACP) based on our application of government related entities (GRE) criteria. The outlook on all ratings is stable. The rating on the 2014A general revenue bonds reflects our belief that East Carolina University will likely maintain its stable operations and solid enrollment.
