Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD), Calif.'s series 2011A wastewater system revenue refunding bonds, which are being remarketed in a Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA)-index mode with a 2.5-year mandatory tender date. At the same time, Standard&Poor's affirmed its 'AAA' long-term rating on the district's outstanding wastewater system revenue bonds. Standard&Poor's also affirmed its 'A-1+' short-term rating on the district's extendable commercial paper (ECP) notes (wastewater series). The outlook on the long-term rating is stable. The long-term rating is based on our view of the wastewater system's: Mature customer base located in the large and deep San Francisco Bay Area regional economy;
