NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Dec. 13, 2006--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services recently assigned its 'A' senior unsecured debt rating to E.I. DuPont de Nemours&Co.'s $600 million 5.25% senior notes due 2016 and $400 million of 5.6% senior notes due 2036. Standard&Poor's said that its 'A' long-term and 'A-1' short-term corporate credit ratings on the company were affirmed. The outlook remains stable. Proceeds from the notes will be used for general corporate purposes. "The ratings reflect the company's status as one of the world's premier chemical producers, with annual sales of about $28 billion, and a financial profile that is expected to strengthen to appropriate levels for the rating during the next one to two years,"
