ENGLEWOOD (S&P Global Ratings) March 28, 2024--S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating to Denver City and County, Colo.'s anticipated $129.2 million series 2024A and $139.7 million series 2024B general obligation (GO) bonds. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AAA' rating on the city's GO bonds outstanding and its 'AA+' long-term and underlying rating (SPUR) on the city's various certificates of participation and lease-secured obligations. We also affirmed our 'AA+' rating on debt issued by the Denver Housing Authority but secured by a pledge from Denver City and County to annually levy and appropriate an affordable housing millage to support the debt.
