Abstract:

S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA-' rating to Danville , Va.'s $8.97 million series 2025 general obligation (GO) public improvement bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our 'AA-' rating on the city's existing GO debt. The outlook is stable. BOSTON (S&P Global Ratings) Oct. 29, 2025--S&P Global Ratings today took the ratings actions listed above. We have assessed Danville's social and governance risks and view them as neutral in our credit rating analysis. We view its environmental risk as slightly elevated, as the city is exposed to hurricane risk with the last event occurring in 2018, but the city has experience working with state and federal authorities to receive federal aid to rebuild damaged areas.
