LONDON (Standard&Poor's) June 27, 2003--Standard&Poor's Rating Services said today it affirmed its 'BBBpi' public information-based insurer financial strength rating on Denmark-based Tryg Forsikring A/S (formerly Tryg-Baltica Forsikring, skadeforsikringsselskab A/S). "The rating reflects the company's strengthened capital base and strong business position, along with good technical reserves. Offsetting these factors are the company's historic earnings, which are marginal," said Standard&Poor's credit analyst Paul Oates.
