NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) July 19, 2002--Standard&Poor's said today that it has revised its outlook on automaker DaimlerChrysler AG to stable from negative following significant improvement in the company's financial performance. Standard&Poor's said that it has affirmed its ratings, including its triple-'B'-plus and 'A-2 corporate credit ratings, on the company and its related entities. "Financial performance at DaimlerChrysler's core Chrysler and Freightliner units has significantly improved", said Standard&Poor's senior credit analyst Scott Sprinzen. "Standard&Poor's is now more confident in the adequacy of restructuring efforts underway at these businesses, and therefore believes that the potential for a further downgrade of DaimlerChrysler is limited". Financial liabilities outstanding totaled €78.8 billion at June 30,
