We see Daimler as well placed to address these issues as it develops and releases more electric and hybrid vehicles, such as the GLS, CLA, and new S-class over coming years. With this in mind, Daimler plans sizeable investments, with around €10 billion earmarked for the development of electric vehicles in the coming years. Daimler plans to launch more than 10 purely electric cars in all segments by 2022, which should account for 15%-25% of its sales volumes.
