NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Nov. 18, 2021--S&P Global Ratings today raised its rating on the State of Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority (The Jerome Home Issue, series D) variable rate demand revenue bonds, to 'AAA/A-1+' from 'A+/A-1'. The rating action follows the defeasance of the bonds, which are scheduled to be redeemed on Jan. 5, 2022. The long-term component of the rating on the bonds reflects our opinion that the cash held under the indenture terms is sufficient to make full and timely interest payments and the Jan. 5, 2022, redemption payment in full.
