...July 15, 2021 CENTENNIAL (S&P Global Ratings) July 15, 2021--S&P Global Ratings assigned its '##+' rating to the city of Colorado Springs, Colo.'s $40 million utilities system revenue refunding bonds series 2021A and $191.67 million utilities system improvement revenue bonds series 2021B. At the same time, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its '##+', '##+/A-1+', '##+/A-1', and '##+/A-2' ratings on the system's parity debt outstanding. The outlook is stable. "The rating reflects our view of Colorado Springs Utilities' (CSU) robust liquidity, agile and proactive rate-setting practices, and strong operational performance and reliability," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Doug Snider. The severe winter weather event in February 2021 has brought into sharper focus a spectrum of ESG-related risks that may inform our credit analyses and ratings over the longer term.
