NY -- Standard&Poor's CreditWire 2/11/98 -- Standard&Poor's today revised its outlook on CVS Corp. to stable from negative. The outlook revision reflects success with the integration of Revco, D.S. acquired in May 1997, increasing market share, lower debt levels, and reduced concern for contingent liabilities. Additionally, Standard&Poor's affirmed its ratings on CVS Corp. (see list below). CVS has completed most of the integration of Revco. Many of the back end functions, including systems, are done. With the merchandise conversions completed and the store remodeling effort to be finished by mid-year, CVS' integration team will be moved over to work on Arbor Drugs Inc., its proposed acquisition.
