NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) July 28, 2022--S&P Global Ratings said today that Waste Management Inc.'s (A-/Stable/A-2) first-half earnings were modestly higher than our previous expectations. We expect credit measures and financial policies will remain appropriate to support the 'A-' rating. Waste Management reported a more than 12% revenue increase in the first half compared to the same period last year. This and modestly stronger EBITDA were driven by a combination of improved core price, higher yield, and volumes and disciplined cost management. As a result of the solid first-half results and second-half expectations, the company moderately revised upward its guidance on revenues and EBITDA. Management stated that it expects to complete the remaining $980 million under its $1.5 billion
