NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Aug. 14, 2017--S&P Global Ratings said today that its ratings on VF Corp. (A/Stable/A-1) are unchanged following the company's announcement that it plans to acquire Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. for approximately $820 million in cash. The company expects to close the acquisition in the fourth quarter of 2017. Williamson-Dickie designs and manufactures work apparel under Dickies, Workrite, Kodiak, Terra, and Walls brands. It generated approximately $875 million of revenues for the last trailing-12-month period. The acquisition is aligned with VF Corp.'s strategy to accelerate growth by reshaping its portfolio of brands.
