NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Oct. 3, 2019--S&P Global Ratings said today that it views the resignation of Paul Mountford as president and CEO of performance software solutions provider Riverbed Parent Inc. negatively. However, we don't believe it immediately undermines the company's ability to stabilize its performance and materially reduce its outstanding debt, nor does it signal looming risk of a distressed debt exchange. The resignation follows the July 2019 resignation of Chief Financial Officer John Theler. David Murphy, Riverbed's current chairman of the board, Thoma Bravo senior operating partner, and former president and chief operating officer of Blue Coat Systems, has been appointed interim CEO while the company undertakes a search for a permanent one.
