Bulletin: Ratings On Japan-Based NN Life Insurance Remain On CreditWatch With Negative Implications

TOKYO (S&P Global Ratings) Jan. 6, 2017--S&P Global Ratings today said that the CreditWatch negative status of its 'A-' financial strength and long-term counterparty credit ratings on Japan-based NN Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NN Life Japan) is unaffected by an update on the CreditWatch status of the company's parent. On Jan. 4, 2017, we maintained our ratings on Netherland-based multiline insurer NN Group N.V. on CreditWatch with negative implications, following the group's announcement that it has reached an agreement with Netherland-based multiline insurer Delta Lloyd to acquire the Delta Lloyd group (see "NN Group 'A-' And Core Subsidiary 'A+' Ratings Remain On CreditWatch Negative After Offer On Delta Lloyd," published Jan. 4, 2017).
