PARIS (S&P Global Ratings) Dec. 11, 2020--S&P Global Ratings said today that Gamma Bidco S.p.A. (B/Negative/--) subsidiary Gamenet Group S.p.A.'s (Gamenet's; B/Negative/--) agreement to acquire International Game Technology PLC's (IGT's) business-to-consumer (B2C) Italian units, excluding lottery operations, will increase the group's scale in Italian gaming. However, it is too early to assess the full rating implications of the proposed transaction. Gamenet, which is 100% owned and controlled by funds managed by Apollo Global Management Inc., announced the agreement to acquire IGT's Italian online, sports betting, and gaming machines B2C businesses on Dec. 7, 2020.
