PARIS (S&P Global Ratings) June 3, 2024--S&P Global Ratings said today that its downgrade of France on May 31 has no immediate impact on its ratings on Electricité de France, Engie S.A., RTE Réseau de Transport d'Electricité, or Coentreprise de Transport d'Electricite. Based on our current rating constructs for the utilities and no other changes than our sovereign rating: Electricité de France (EDF; BBB/Stable/A-2): The ratings would not be affected as long as our unsolicited rating on France remains in the 'A' category (up to A-). Engie S.A. (BBB+/Stable/A-2): The ratings do not include any uplift from the sovereign rating and hence have a limited sensitivity to a downgrade of the sovereign.
