MILAN (S&P Global Ratings) April 25, 2017--S&P Global Ratings said today that its corporate credit ratings on Switzerland-based cement producer LafargeHolcim Ltd. (BBB/Stable/A-2) are unaffected by the news that CEO Eric Olsen will leave the company on July 15, 2017. In our view, the CEO's decision to resign may address internal tensions that have recently arisen around the Syria case. Based on the company statement, chairman of the board, Beat Hess, will oversee the transition period until a new group CEO is appointed. On April 24, 2017, LafargeHolcim's board of directors concluded the independent investigation into allegations concerning one of the company's plants in Syria in 2013-2014.
