NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) May 1, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that there is no immediate impact on Home Depot Inc.'s (BBB+/Stable/A-2) ratings, following the Atlanta, Ga.-based company's announcement earlier today. Home Depot said that it has approved a plan to close 15 underperforming stores in 2008, and scale back 50 new U.S. stores in the pipeline for 2009 and beyond. The company expects to incur an aggregate of $586 million in pretax charges relating to these actions, $547 million of which is expected to be taken in the first quarter of fiscal 2008.
