Abstract:

SAO PAULO (S&P Global Ratings) Oct. 29, 2020--S&P Global Ratings said today that Engie Energia Chile S.A.'s (Engie Chile; BBB/Stable/--) third-quarter results are consistent with our expectations. Engie Chile remains the fourth-largest player in Chile's electric power generation, with a 9% market share. We expect the company to continue to post stable cash flows in the next two years, driven by its highly contracted capacity, with no early termination of contracts that could jeopardize the stability and predictability of cash flows. Despite a contraction in demand due to COVID-19, we continue to expect EBITDA of $400 million - $450 million in 2020 and 2021, given reported EBITDA of $338 million during the first nine months of 2020.
