NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Nov. 20, 2013--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that it has reviewed its ratings on E.W. Scripps Co., which it labeled as "under criteria observation" (UCO) after the publishing of its revised Corporate criteria on Nov. 19. Standard&Poor's expedited the review of its ratings on E.W. Scripps Co. because the company recently proposed new debt issue (see "How Standard&Poor?s Plans To Finalize--And Apply--Its Corporate Ratings Criteria," published Nov. 13, 2013). With our criteria review of E.W. Scripps Co. complete, we have confirmed that our preliminary ratings on this issuer are unaffected by the criteria changes.
