TORONTO (Standard&Poor's) March 4, 2013--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today said that its ratings and outlook on Toronto-based Corus Entertainment Inc. (BB+/Stable/--) are unaffected by the company's announcement that it has entered into agreements with Bell Media (a subsidiary of BCE Inc.) and Shaw Media (a subsidiary of Shaw Communications Inc.) to acquire certain television and radio assets totaling C$494 million. Corus plans to acquire the remaining 50% ownership interest in the Teletoon specialty network that it does not already own, as well as two Ottawa-based radio stations that Bell Media is expected to acquire as part of its acquisition of Astral Media Inc.
