LONDON (S&P Global Ratings) June 2, 2021--S&P Global Ratings said today that Compass Group PLC's (Compass; A/Negative/A-1) credit metrics are unlikely to recover to pre-pandemic levels before the financial year (FY) ending Sept. 30, 2022. The group's operations have been heavily affected by COVID-19 containment measures globally, which have resulted in widespread remote working, the closure of educational institutions, and limited public access to entertainment venues over the past 15 months, resulting in volume decline of about 30% compared with pre-pandemic levels. The persistence of the virus and the prolonged containment measures are such that we expect FY2021 revenue to fall by about 10% year-on-year, despite the continued rollout of vaccinations and easing of restrictions in Compass' main markets in
