Abstract:

MEXICO CITY (S&P Global Ratings) Dec. 17, 2021--S&P Global Ratings today said that Coca-Cola Femsa S.A.B. de C.V.'s (KOF; global scale: BBB+/Negative/--; national scale: mxAAA/Stable/--) announcement to acquire 100% of Brazilian Coca-Cola bottler, CVI Refrigerantes Ltda (CVI) through its subsidiary, Spal Industria Brasileira de Bebidas S.A., has no effect on our ratings or outlook on KOF. This is an all-cash transaction for an enterprise valued at R$632.5 million, subject to confirmation on debt, cash, and other customary adjustments between signing and closing of the transaction. We consider that the acquisition will complement KOF's footprint in southern Brazil and strengthen its leading position in the region.
