JOHANNESBURG (S&P Global Ratings) April 26, 2023--S&P Global Ratings today said that Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA; AA/Stable/A-1+) is mitigating the impact of the instability in Sudan with its business continuity plans (BCP). The bank's main headquarters are based in Khartoum, where fighting has escalated since April 15, but it has activated its alternative data center in Cairo. It has conducted its critical financial processes, relating to disbursements and processing of cross-border payments through the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication network, from its Cairo office since 2020.
