FRANKFURT (S&P Global Ratings) Nov. 6, 2026--Allianz Global Corporate&Specialty SE (AGCS) has announced plans to establish Allianz Commercial 1893, a new direct underwriting syndicate at Lloyd's, with trading expected to commence on Jan. 1, 2027, pending final regulatory approval. In our view, this initiative has a neutral impact on the creditworthiness of the group. We view this move as a strategic effort to further penetrate underrepresented specialty segments and deepen the group's footprint in the London market.
