About This Report

Abstract:

NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) June 29, 2021--S&P Global Ratings today said it expects Akumin Inc.'s (B-/Stable) proposed $820 million acquisition of Alliance HealthCare Services (CCC+/Stable) will not substantially increase leverage. We believe Akumin will fund the transaction with a combination of debt, common stock, and cash on hand. We believe the combination may strengthen Akumin's business because of increased scale and geographic diversity. The company's operations would expand from a handful of states to 45 and potentially add contractual relationships with about 1,000 health systems and hospitals. Alliance operates mobile and fixed-site diagnostic imaging facilities and is one of the largest providers of outsourced diagnostic imaging services to health care systems and hospitals. The company also provides radiation oncology
