...January 3, 2024 MEXICO CITY (S&P Global Ratings) Jan. 3, 2024--S&P Global Ratings today said it assigned its '###' foreign and local currency issue ratings to Banco de Credito del Peru's proposed senior unsecured notes. The issuance will consist of two tranches, local currency (Peruvian nuevo soles) and foreign currency (U.S. dollars). The '###' rating on the proposed senior unsecured notes is at the same level as the issuer credit rating on Banco de Credito del Peru (BCP; ###/Negative/A-2) because of the notes' seniority. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, such as lengthening the bank's debt maturity profile through the repayment of its existing shorter-term indebtedness (including its outstanding 4.650% senior notes due 2024). We consider the bank's debt maturity profile to be manageable, and we think BCP has a record of adequate debt management.
