About This Report

Abstract:

On April 7, 2017, we revised our global methodology for linking long- and short-term ratings in order to display our mapping of long- to short-term ratings in a uniform way across sectors. For financial institutions, the standard mapping applies, because we view banks' funding as highly confidence sensitive compared with other sectors. Therefore, we believe that the short-term rating on a financial institution is most effectively derived from the long-term rating. We're raising our short-term global scale rating on Brazil-based Banco Fibra to 'B' from 'C' following the new mapping table, which only correlates to the 'B-' long-term global scale to 'B' short-term global scale ratings. All other ratings on the bank remain unchanged. SAO PAULO (S&P Global Ratings) May
