Abstract:

Standard&Poor's said today that the ratings and outlook on Weight Watchers International Inc. (BB-/Stable/--) would not be affected by the $10.6 million purchase of its eastern North Carolina franchise. From time to time, the company will purchase franchised operations to augment its company-owned operations network. Standard&Poor's expects Weight Watchers to continue generating significant free cash flow and maintain credit measures appropriate for the rating.
