Standard&Poor's has learned that, as a result of the merger of Firstar Corp. and U.S. Bancorp (A/Stable/A-1) on Feb. 27, 2001, the subsidiary bank charters of the two holding companies have also merged. On Aug. 10, 2001, U.S. Bank National Association (in Minneapolis, Minn.) merged with and into Firstar Bank N.A. (in Cincinnati, Ohio) and changed its name to U.S. Bank National Association (in Cincinnati, Ohio), which is now also known as U.S. Bank N.A. In addition to the lead banks merging, all of the following banks were also merged into U.S. Bank National Association, Cincinnati, Ohio: First Bank N.A., Minneapolis, MN; Firstar Bank Midwest N.A.; Firstar Bank Missouri N.A.; Firstar Bank N.A.; U.S. Bank of Idaho, N.A.,
