Corporate Credit Rating: A/Negative/A-1 The Gap Inc.'s report that same-store sales fell 10% in May and that it expects second-quarter same-store sales to be worse than previously forecast has no impact on the company's credit rating or outlook. Standard & Poor's had already factored a challenging first half of 2001 into the company's rating.
