NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Aug. 5, 2003--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that the order by the Utah Supreme Court reversing a decision made by the Public Service Commission of Utah, which allowed Questar Gas Co. (A+/Negative/--) to collect $5 million a year in rates to recover costs associated with removing carbon dioxide in gas prior to delivery to customers, will not affect current ratings. As a result of the court ruling, Questar Gas will record a $13.6 million liability in the second quarter of 2003 for revenues that had been included in rates.
