Abstract:

Corporate Credit Rating: A/Stable/A-1 Standard&Poor's said today that there would be no impact on the current ratings for Nike Inc. following the company's announcement that third quarter earnings will be below previous expectations. Nike cited continued weakness in its U.S. footwear segment and implementation problems with its new supply chain software as reasons for the shortfall. While disappointing in the near term, these negative factors are not likely to materially impact the company's credit protection measures over the long term.
