NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) April 26, 2004--As expected, Boeing Co. (A/Stable/A-1) today announced that it is officially launching its mid-size 7E7 jetliner, following a firm order for 50 aircraft from All Nippon Airways (ANA). Standard&Poor's said that its ratings and outlook on the aerospace company are not affected by the announcement. ANA is ordering both the short-range (3,500 miles) 7E7-3 version of the aircraft and the long-range (8,500 miles) 7E7-8 version, but the mix of the two types has not been determined. Deliveries are to begin in 2008, and the total order is valued at $6 billion at list prices, although the actual price to ANA was probably significantly lower because of discounts for being the launch
