Our assessment is based on an almost certain likelihood of extraordinary government support for Autobahnen-und Schnellstrassen-Finanzierungs-AG (ASFINAG) from the Austrian government. In our opinion, ASFINAG will retain its monopoly position as Austrian road operator and constructor and will continue its favorable economic development. We are therefore affirming our ratings on ASFINAG at 'AA+/A-1+'. The stable outlook reflects that on Austria as well as our view that there will be no significant changes to government support for the company.
