S&P Global Ratings assigned its 'AA' rating to the City of Austin , Texas' proposed $20.9 million series 2026 hotel occupancy tax (HOT) revenue refunding bonds (separate venue lien). The outlook is stable. DALLAS (S&P Global Ratings) July 14, 2026--S&P Global Ratings today took the rating actions listed above. The stable outlook reflects our expectation that economic activity and pledged revenue collections will continue to support very strong debt service coverage through bond maturity. We could lower the rating if revenue collections were to decrease, leading to materially lower coverage on the bonds. Although unlikely before bond maturity, we could raise the rating if debt service coverage were to materially improve and be sustained at exceptionally strong levels.
