NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) June 4, 2013--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that it has assigned its 'CCC+ (sf)' rating to American Airlines Inc.'s series 2013-1 Class C pass-through certificates due July 15, 2018. The certificates are subordinated to the 2013-1 Class A and Class B certificates that we rated March 11, 2013. The ratings are based on: The consolidated credit quality of American and its parent, AMR Corp. (both rated 'D'); Our expectations regarding AMR's and American's likelihood of emerging from bankruptcy; Our expectations regarding American's likelihood of continuing to service the aircraft notes that secure the various 2013-1 certificates; Collateral coverage by good-quality aircraft; and The legal and structural protections available to the pass-through certificates.
