NEW YORK (S&P Global Ratings) Dec. 12, 2017--S&P Global Ratings today assigned its 'AA-' issue-level rating to Amazon.com Inc.'s proposed up to $1 billion 5.200% senior unsecured notes due 2025. The issuance is an exchange offer for an equivalent amount of Whole Foods Market (WFM) bonds that have the same coupon and maturity. As of last week, 86.75% of the aggregate principal amount of the 5.200% WFM bonds had been tendered. The tender offer expires on Dec. 19. The Amazon notes are unsecured obligations that rank at parity with the company's other unsecured debt.
