Abstract:

NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Aug. 2, 2010--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today said that it affirmed its 'BBB' senior unsecured debt rating on Richmond, Va.-based Altria Group Inc.'s 4.125% unsecured notes maturing in September 2015. The company has added $200 million in 4.125% unsecured notes to the existing $800 million issuance, increasing the aggregate issue amount to $1.0 billion. Standard&Poor's expects Altria to use net proceeds from the upsized issuance for general corporate purposes.
