NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Nov. 16, 2001—Standard&Poor's today assigned its double-'A' rating to Albuquerque, N.M.'s $10 million GO taxable baseball stadium bonds series 2001C dated Dec. 1, 2001, due July 1, 2010. The bonds are scheduled to sell on Nov. 19, 2001. At the same time, Standard&Poor's affirmed its double-'A' rating on the city's outstanding GO sewer bonds. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects: -- An expanding and diverse economic base, -- Low debt levels, and -- Stable financial operations. Albuquerque, with a population of 448,607, is New Mexico's largest city and economic center.
