NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) July 25, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today lowered its ratings on AMR Corp. (B-/Negative/B-3) and subsidiary American Airlines Inc. (B-/Negative/--), including lowering the long-term corporate credit ratings on both entities to 'B-' from 'B', and removed the ratings from CreditWatch, where they had been placed with negative implications May 22, 2008. The outlook is negative. We affirmed the 'B-3' short-term rating on AMR and removed the rating from CreditWatch.
