...On 19 March 2024, we affirmed Bankinter, S.A.'s (Bankinter) deposit ratings to A2/Prime-1 from A3/Prime-2. The outlook remains unchanged at stable. Bankinter¦s A2/Prime-2 deposit ratings reflect the bank's baa1 Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA); two notches rating uplift from our Advanced Loss Given Failure (LGF) analysis; and our assumption of a low probability of government support, which results in no rating uplift. Bankinter's Counterparty Risk Ratings (CRRs) and Counterparty Risk (CR) Assessment are A2/ Prime-1 and A3(cr)/Prime-2(cr), respectively. Bankinter's baa1 BCA reflects its sound credit risk profile, with asset quality metrics ranking among the strongest in the Spanish banking sector and which we expect to be only mildly strained by the increase in debt servicing costs and high cost of living.
