As of 31 December 2023, Ball operated in North, Central and South America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and had manufacturing operations in 26 countries. Its principal region was the US, which accounted for around 55.9% of its $14.0 billion revenue in 2023. Ball was established in 1880 as Wooden Jacketed Can Company in New York. In 1886, it was incorporated as Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing Company and was renamed Ball Corporation in 1969.
